One day after being cut by the Seattle Seahawks, wide reciever Kasen Williams has been claimed off waivers by the Cleveland Browns. The former University of Washington and Skyline High School star was released by Seattle Saturday, despite leading the team in receptions and yardage during the preseason.

Williams racked up 9 catches for 209 yards and 1 touchdown over 4 games this summer for the Seahawks. Seattle kept just 5 receivers on their 53-man roster in veterans Doug Baldwin, Paul Richardson, and Tyler Lockett, along with rookie Amarah Darboh and 2nd-year player Tanner McEvoy.

Two other Seahawks cut on Saturday were claimed off waivers. Defensive tackle Quinton Jefferson, who was claimed by the Rams, while Cornerback Pierre Desir was claimed by the Colts.
