It’s state tournament week for six county teams

Six Whatcom county high school basketball teams begin state tournament play this week.  Five of them will be at the Sundome in Yakima.  Those five don’t know their first-day opponents.

On Thursday the Lynden boys play at 10:30 AM.  They’ll take on the winner of Wednesday’s Anacortes-Columbia River game.

The Lynden Christian girls have the 12:15 game.  They’ll play the winner of Elma-Overlake.

The Meridian girls play at 2:00.  They’ll have the winner of Medical Lake and King’s.

The Lynden Christian boys will play at 5:30.  They’ll take on the winner of King’s and Deer Park.

The Lynden girls also play at 5:30.  They’ll face the winner of Anacortes-East Valley (Spokane).

At the Class 1B state tournament in Spokane the Lummi boys open against Riverside Christian Wednesday at 3:45.
