The Washington Interscholastic Activities Association has announced high school football state championship games will no longer be played in the Tacoma Dome. The WIAA says the cost of renting the building is a major reason why. And with the new layout of the Dome the sight lines for football aren’t as good as they used to be.
The WIAA expects to use multiple sites to host championship games now. New locations will be finalized this fall.
