High school district b-ball scores Thursday

Prep district basketball finals Thursday night…on the boys side Lynden Christian beat Cedar Park Christian 80-66.  The Lyncs clinch a spot in the regional round of the state tournament.  The Meridian boys also clinched.  They beat Bear Creek on the road 67-55.

In girls play Meridian beat King’s 36-32 to clinch a regional berth.  The Nooksack Valley girls are also going to regionals after beating Overlake 62-33.  The Ferndale girls got eliminated by Meadowdale 47-45.

On the radio Friday night the Lynden Christian girls play Seattle Academy for the bi-district championship.  The game is at Shorewood High School in north Seattle.  Note the early start time as it tips off at 5:00.  Coverage begins at 4;45 on KPUG and KPUG1170.com.  On AM790 KGMI the Lynden girls play for the 2A district title as they take on Burlington at Mount Vernon High School.  That’s a 7:15 pre-game start and 7:30 tip on AM790 KGMI and KGMI.com.
