Seattle Seahawks defensive end Frank Clark says he has apologized to Germain Ifedi and his teammates for punching the offensive lineman in the face during a dust-up between the offense and defense during practice August 3rd. Clark addressed the issue with the media Wednesday at the VMAC in Renton.

“I apologized to my team, right after the altercation,” said Clark. “I also apologized to Germain Ifedi more personally.”

The third-year pro described the punch as a “heat of the moment thing”. Clark said he was thinking about himself first instead of his defense as a whole.

Clark missed practice the day after the fight as a disciplinary measure from the team. In addressing the squad, he says he wanted to make sure the Seahawks knew how sorry he was. “The biggest message was just letting them know how remorseful I was. I just wanted to let them know that I was actually sorry. And I wanted to let Germain know that I was sorry, besides the team.”

Ifedi, who suffered some minor injuries, returned to practice August 9th. He started at right tackle versus the Chargers Sunday.  Clark who has missed time during training camp with an MCL injury, played sparingly against Los Angeles.
