Four Whatcom County teams ranked in state football poll

The Lynden Lions are still the highest-ranked county team in the new Associated Press high school football poll released Wednesday.  Lynden is #3 in Class 2A.  They beat previously 5th-ranked Archbishop Murphy last week, dropping the Wildcats to #8 in the state.

In Class 1A undefeated Lynden Christian is up to #4.  The Lyncs host Nooksack Valley Friday night on KPUG.  Meridian is 6th and Mount Baker is #9.  The Trojans and Mountaineers play each other Friday night on AM790 KGMI.

The Lummi Blackhawks fell out of the 1B poll after their loss to Neah Bay.
