Four Whatcom county softball teams in state tournament action Friday

Four Whatcom County softball teams began state tournament play Friday. In Class 1A in Richland Mt. Baker defeated Kiona-Benton 3-0. Mt. Baker moves on to face Chewelah at 4PM Friday. Lynden Christian beat Connell 13-4. LC moves on to play Castle Rock at 4PM Friday. At class 2A state in Selah Sehome routed Fife 12-0. Sehome will take on North Kitsap at 4PM Friday. Lynden lost to Ellensburg 5-3.
