Former Bellingham High School baseball star Austin Shenton has signed his contract with the Seattle Mariners. The third baseman from Florida International University was the M’s fifth-round draft pick in last week’s amateur draft.
Shenton told KPUG in The Zone last week the Everett AquaSox of the Northwest League were “looking like” it would be his first stop as a professional.
