Five Whatcom County teams listed in state football poll

The Lynden Lions are the highest-ranked high school football team from Whatcom County in the new state poll released Wednesday. Lynden is #3 in Class 2A. Archbishop Murphy is #5. The teams play each other at Lynden High Friday night on KPUG.

In Class 1A Mount Baker checks in at #5. Meridian is #8 and Lynden Christian is 10th.

The Lummi Blackhawks are 5th in the 1B poll.
