Ferndale up to No. 2 in AP prep football poll

The Ferndale High School is the highest ranked local team in the Associated Press state prep football poll.  The undefeated Golden Eagles are No. 2 in the 3A classifications.

4 other Whatcom County teams are ranked in the poll released Wednesday.

The undefeated Meridian Trojans are 3rd in the 1A ranks. Mount Baker and Nooksack Valley come in at 9th and 10th respectively.

The Lummi Blackhawks are 5th in the 1B classification.
