Seattle Mariners pitcher Felix Hernandez is scheduled for a rehab start Tuesday in Tacoma when the Rainiers take on Reno in Triple-A action. It will be the first live game for King Felix since April 25th.

Hernandez, who went on the disabled list April 26th with right shoulder inflammation pitch two simulated innings on Friday at Safeco Field.

Seattle Times Mariners reporter Ryan Divish told KPUG that Hernandez is going to make two starts in Tacoma. Divish also said Hisashi Iwakuma (on DL since May 10th with shoulder inflammation) is going to make two starts in Tacoma. “Iwakuma is probably about 5 days behind Felix in terms of coming back.”

Mitch Hanniger is also scheduled start for Tacoma on Tuesday. The outfielder was hitting .342 before going down with a strained right oblique. Divish says he thinks Hanniger, who was also put on the disabled list April 26th, will be with the Rainiers “4 or 5 games depending on how he plays”.

Tuesday’s game between the Tacoma and Reno gets underway at 6:05pm at Cheney Stadium.
