District tourney scores Thursday night

High school basketball district tournament finals from Thursday…on the boys side Ferndale got eliminated by Arlington 63-61.  Squalicum beat Shorewood 63-51.  Meridian defeated Nooksack Valley 71-47 and Blaine knocked out Sehome 65-53.

In girls play Nooksack Valley doubled up Mount Baker 48-24 and Meridian beat Cedar Park Christian 44-28.

That means the Squalicum boys will play #1 seed Marysville-Pilchuck on the road Saturday night at 7.  Maridian plays Cedar Park Christian Saturday night at 7:15 at Mount Vernon High School.  Nooksack takes on South Whidbey at 3:45 in a loser-out game in Mt. Vernon Saturday.  The Mount Baker girls play Cedar Park Christian Saturday at 2 in Mount Vernon with the winner moving on to bi-districts and Nooksack Valley faces Meridian for 3rd and 4th at districts Saturday at 5:30 also at Mount Vernon.
