ESPN’s Adam Schefter is reporting that free agent quarterback Colin Kaepernick is visiting the Seattle Seahawks today.  Hawks coach Pete Carroll said last week the team was exploring the possibility of adding a veteran backup quarterback like Kaepernick or Robert Griffin III.

NFL Network was first to report Kaepernick’s visit.

Trevone Boykin was the backup to Hawks starter Russell Wilson last season but has had recent off-field problems.

Kaepernick spent his first six seasons with the San Francisco 49ers, throwing for 12,271 yards and 72 touchdowns.
