BURLINGTON, Wash. — Friday is the 37th Annual Bill Egbers Memorial Golf Tournament at the Skagit Golf & Country Club, which brings in high school golfing champs from around the state regardless of their classification.

Darin DeYoung coaches Lynden Christian boys golf, and says this year’s group of the top 100 golfers in the state, includes five local students and two local teams all from the Northwest Conference.

DeYoung says it is essentially the #1 high school golf tournament in our state and is an honor for those who are invited.

The local students participating are Carson Linville of Nooksack, Ian Hakeman of Sehome, Keenan Hofstad of Sedro-Woolley, Jason Lowry of Squalicum and Jake DeYoung of Lynden Christian.
