It’s the regional round of the high school basketball state playoffs this weekend and we’ll have 7 games on the radio.

Action begins with a doubleheader on KPUG Friday night with the Meridian boys taking on Vashon Island in a loser-out game with a 5:45 pre-game show and 6:00 tip-off.  The Lynden Christian girls follow at 8 against state scoring leader Juliana Walker and Annie Wright.

It’s a Lynden Lion doubleheader Saturday on KPUG.  The boys play Mountlake Terrace with an 11:45 pre-game show and noon tip-off.  The Lynden girls follow against West Valley of Spokane at 2.

On AM790 KGMI Saturday it’s a pair of games from Wenatchee High School.  The Meridian girls face Okanogan with a 1:45 pre-game show and 2:00 tip-off in a loser-out game. At 6:00 the Nooksack Valley girls take on All-American Hailey Van Lith and the top-seed Cashmere Bulldogs.  Coverage begins at 5:45 on KGMI.

Also Saturday night at 6 the Lynden Christian boys battle Zillah in Yakima in a showdown of two of the state’s best.  That’s a 5:45 pre-game show and 6:00 tip on KPUG.

The Lummi boys and girls both play at Mount Vernon High School Saturday night.  The boys play Muckleshoot at 6:00 and the girls follow at 8 against Columbia Adventist.
