Kyle Stowers hit a walk-off RBI double to lead the Bellingham Bells to a from behind 5-4 win over Wenatchee Sunday. The victory at Joe Martin field, combined with a Victoria road loss Sunday keeps the Bells West Coast league playoff hope alive.

The North Division second half entry into the postseason will be decided Monday night. Wenatchee hosts a makeup game vs. Corvallis. According to WestCoastLeague.com, If Wenatchee wins its makeup game, Bellingham owns the three-way tie-breaker with the Sox and Victoria HarbourCats and would capture the second-half North title. If Wenatchee loses its make-up game with the Knights, Victoria owns the tie-breaker advantage with the Bells as they have posted a better in division second-half winning percentage And would take the north.

Bellingham Bells coach Greg Goetz told KPUG the Bells are Wenatchee fans on Monday. “The buzz around the dugout was take care of our business,” said Goetz. “We scoreboard watched a little bit, we had the phone in the dugout…but we had to take care of our business first and the boys did a great job of that.”

Stowers finished the game 2-for-3 with 2 RBI’s. Austin Shenton added 2 RBI’s on 2-of-5 hitting. Josh Zavisubin pitched the 9th inning to pick up the win for Bellingham.

With the victory, the Bells improved their overall WCL record to 31-and-23.If Bellingham advances to the playoffs, they would play Kelowna in a best of three series beginning Tuesday at Joe Martin Field.
