The Bellingham Bells playoff fate was out their hands. They needed help elsewhere and could only scoreboard watch. That help didn’t come as the Bells came up just short of the postseason.

Corvallis sealed Bellingham’s face with a dominating 12-1 road win over Wenatchee in a make-up game Monday night. The Bells needed a Wenatchee victory to win the West Coast League North Division second half title in a three-way tie breaker. Instead, the division crown and trip to the playoffs goes to Victoria.

Victoria advances over Bellingham via tiebreaker The HarbourCats posted a better in division second-half winning percentage. Victoria opens up the WCL playoffs Tuesday at home vs. Kelowna.

Bellingham finishes the season with a 31-and 23 WCL record.
