Bells pounce on Harbourcats to even series

The Bellingham Bells tallied 10 runs on 15 hits to run away with game 2 in Victoria and improve to 14-6 on the year.

The Bells scored a run in each of the first two innings to take the early 2-0 lead with the big blow being a homer from Connor Mack in the second inning.
Victoria came back and scored two unearned runs in the fifth to tie the game at two, but thats when the bats woke up for Bellingham.
The Bells used five hits in the sixth inning to plate six runs and take a commanding 8-2 lead.
Bellingham added two more runs in the eighth inning as they increased the lead to 10-2 and cruised to the victory.
Grant Holman was dominant through 4.2 innings for the Bells as he struck out seven and allowed two unearned runs on just five hits.
Theron Kay, Trevor DeLaite and Carson Olson combined to throw 4.1 innings of shutout baseball in relief to close out the ball game.
The win extends the Bells lead to 3.5 games over the Harbourcats in the West Coast League North and they have a chance to win the series on Sunday at 1:05.
