Bellingham’s Machtolf wins WCL All-Star MVP

Bellingham Bells outfielder Jack Machtolf was named the Most Valuable Player of the West Coast League All-Star Game in Bend, Oregon Tuesday night.  He had four hits leading the North team over the South 14-1.  Bellingham’s Troy Viola drove in two runs while Guthrie Morrison scored twice.  Bells pitchers Nick Proctor, Jimmy Chatfield and Logan Hatley each worked an inning and all retired the side 1-2-3.

The Bells return to action Saturday hosting Port Angeles.
