Uriel Herrera scored 2 goals as Bellingham United blanked the Olympic Force 4-0 Sunday at Civic Stadium. With the victory, the Hammers have pulled to within 1 point of the Seattle Stars, the Evergreen Premier League WA leaders.
Herrera scored in the 18th and 42nd minute and Richard Henderson put Bellingham (9-2-2; 29 points) up 3-0 with a goal in the 45th minute. Kurtis Pederson wrapped up the scoring with a goal in the 88th minute as the Hammers posted the shutout.
The win means the league title will be decided next weekend. Bellingham United hosts Yakima United Saturday at Civic Stadium. Seattle plays the Vancouver victory on the road. If Seattle draws or loses to the Victory and Bellingham defeats Yakima, Bellingham United will be crowned EPL WA champions.
