AP Prep Football Poll: Whatcom County down to 5 ranked teams

Two Whatcom County teams have fallen out of the Associated Press state prep football poll. Following losses last week, Squalicum and Lynden are out of the Top-10 in their respective classifications in the poll released Wednesday.

5 local teams remain ranked across 3 classifications.

Undefeated Meridian is the highest ranked squad at number 3 in the 1A classification. Nooksack Valley comes in at sixth, while Mount Baker is seventh.

Ferndale is ranked fourth in the 3A. the Golden Eagles are the only other undefeated local squad at 5-and-0.

Lummi Nation, coming off a lopsided loss to Sunnyside Christian last week,  fell to fourth in the 1B ranks.
