The high school baseball post-season got underway Tuesday with a win and two losses for Whatcom County. Sehome beat Lakewood 8-0 and moves on to play Archbishop Murphy on Saturday. Bellingham got eliminated by Mountlake Terrace 2-1 and Blaine got knocked out by Sedro-Woolley 11-1.
Lynden ace Trevin Hope won’t pitch for the Lions again this year. He has a torn ligament in his pitching elbow and will need Tommy John surgery. Lynden coach Cory White told KPUG Tuesday Hope could still hit in the playoffs but he won’t be able to pitch.
