This week’s new Associated Press high school football state rankings are out and Whatcom County is set up for a big-time showdown Friday night. In Class 1A Mount Baker is up to #2 and Lynden Christian is #3. Those teams play each other Friday.

In Class 2A Lynden is #4 and in 1B Lummi checks in at #5.
