Sehome gymnasts place 6th overall at state meet

TACOMA, Wash. – The Sehome Mariner gymnastics team was led by Blakely Bornstein to a 6th place overall team finish at the WIAA State Gymnastics Meet that started Thursday at the Tacoma Dome.

Five Sehome gymnasts placed in the top 50 overall, accompanied by Juliana Jeffrey of Bellingham High School and Makenna Pittman of Squalicum High School.

Sehome’s Bornstein came home with an individual bronze medal (tie) for 9.25 scoreĀ  on the beam Friday.

Sehome improves upon last year’s 7th place overall finish at the state meet.
