High school basketball finals from Thursday night

Both the girls and boys won their games in Thursday night’s Lynden doubleheader. The Lynden girls defeated Cedarcrest 70-44, with Keylie Hershey scoring 18 points for the Lions. On the boys side, the Lions beat Bellingham 68-27. Both teams will host Burlington in the winners bracket Friday night.  The girls tip at 5 and the boys at 7.

Also Thursday night the Sehome boys beat Mountlake Terrace 57-52.  The Mariners play Anacortes Friday night at 7:00 at Oak Harbor High School.

Squalicum fell into the 3A consolation bracket losing to Arlington 54-42.  The Storm have a loser-out game at Shorewood Friday night at 7:00.

Meridian defeated Eastside Prep 72-50.  The Trojans next visit Overlake Friday night at 6:00 in a loser-out game.

In Class 1B Lummi beat Evergreen Lutheran 63-31.  The Blackhawks have a winners bracket game at Mt. Vernon Christian with the opponent and start time to be announced.

In girls play Lynden defeated Cedarcrest 70-44.  The Lions host Burlington Friday night at 5:00.

Nooksack Valley stayed alive beating Bush High School 52-32.  The Pioneers visit Meridan in a loser-out, winner-to-state game Friday night.

And the Bellingham girls lost to Archbishop Murphy 53-35.  The Red Raiders have a loser-out game against Liberty Saturday at 5:30 with the location to be determined.
