Keifer and Shawna Thompson of Thompson Square have turned authors to pen a romantic fiction novel.

The couple, who won Vocal Duo of the Year at the 2012 Country Music Awards, have teamed up with publishing house Howard Books to release the tome "Are You Gonna Kiss Me or Not," which is also the title of their 2010 Grammy-nominated tune.

The non-autobiographical book will follow two songwriters who fall in love after coming together to pen tracks for a high school musical.

The book is set to hit stores June 4.
