Teenager In Jail After Gang Shooting



BELLINGHAM, Wash. -- A fight between two gangs at lake Samish County Park Sunday sends a teenage boy to jail for brandishing a handgun.



Whatcom county sheriff Bill Elfo says the 16-year-old was arrested on charges of felony harassment and felon in possession of a firearm.

Elfo says the suspect already has quite a wrap sheet with convictions for assault, robbery and theft.

Nineteen-year-old Erik Melgar of Mount Vernon was also arrested after the incident and turned over to the Skagit County Sheriff’s office on arrest warrants for theft and disorderly conduct.
