State Rep. Endorses Little Know Candidate For Governor

OLYMPIA, Wash. -- In an unusual move, a state representative from Blaine is endorsing a candidate for governor that’s not favored by his party to win.

Just weeks away from the August 7 primary, 42nd District Republican Jason Overstreet says he’s backing Shahram Hadian in the race.

Overstreet says he believes the little-known republican can win against candidates in the race with major name-recognition like Jay Inslee and Rob McKenna.

Overstreet is joined by several other republican colleagues in the state house in endorsing Hadian.

A total of nine gubernatorial candidates are on Augusts’ primary ballot.
