Starbucks CEO Says More Stores Coming

SEATTLE, Wash.  (Metro)  -- Coffee giant Starbucks plans to open more stores around the nation in the near-future.

Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz says the company wants to open 1,000 stores in the U.S. in the next five years.

Schultz says the openings would create roughly 20,000 new jobs.

The company has over 17,000 Starbucks locations around the globe.

Schultz says he'd like to see the company continue to open up more stores in China, and Starbucks will continue to offer a variety of items such as juice and energy drinks along with its traditional coffee.
