Man Gets Two Life Sentences For Murders Of Sex Offenders

PORT ANGELES, Wash.  (Metro)  -- A man accused of shooting two men to death because they were sex offenders receives two life sentences after pleading guilty to the charges.

Thirty-four-year-old Patrick Drum of Sequim admitted yesterday to murdering 38-year-old Gary Lee Blanton, Jr., and 56-year-old Jerry Wayne Ray, on the Olympic Peninsula in Clallam County during the weekend of June 2 and 3.

Officials say that after his arrest, Drum told investigators he had planned on killing another sex offender in Jefferson County.

Drum's sentences include no possibility of parole.
