Lynden Man Charged With Kidnap, Rape Of Young Girl

LYNDEN, Wash.  (Metro)  -- A Lynden man is being held on half a million dollars bail charged with kidnapping and raping a 16-year-old girl.

According to court documents, 37-year-old Casey Ronald Cohen took the victim to his apartment on November 6 and sold her methamphetamine.

After a night of using the drug, prosecutors say Cohen gave the girl a drink that made her hallucinate and black out, and then he assaulted her when she tried to leave.

Cohen is accused of keeping the victim at his apartment on South 6th Street for six days, and raping her at least three times.

Cohen eventually took the victim to a bus stop and allowed her to leave.

He was taken into custody by Lynden Police last week.
