Locals helped out Randy Travis after Texas arrest

Country star Randy Travis has the generosity of locals to thank for his freedom following his arrest in North Texas on Tuesday - one man paid his bail, while another offered his legal services.

The "Honky Tonk Moon" hitmaker crashed his car in a construction area and was allegedly found naked at the scene, lying on a stretch of roadway.

The singer was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated and felony retaliation after he reportedly threatened to shoot dead the officers working the case.

He left jail on Wednesday after $21,500 bail was posted - and TMZ has now revealed a local man came to his aid and paid the cash bond.

Travis was also offered legal advice by fellow Texas resident Gary Corley, who insists he wanted to "do the humanitarian thing" and help the star.

Corley reveals he gave his orange cap to Travis to act as a disguise as he left Grayson County jail in Sherman, Texas, wearing paper clothing handed to him by cops.
