Jennifer Zaremba

JenniferZarembaAs a child what did you want to be when you grew up?
A drummer in a rock band!

What is your hometown?
good ol’ Bellingham

Sports-related accomplishment you are most proud of?
Completing the “mind-grinder” on my swim team training trip in college, probably the hardest thing I’ve ever done! Also, going to Nationals with my AAU basketball team freshman year.

What did you do before radio?
I played sports and went to school…discovered radio a year before college graduation so I’ve been doing that ever since.

Sports star you’d most like to meet?
The one and only Charles Barkley – loved him since I was 6! (quite a role model, I know) My parents used to have to pry me out of his Phoenix Suns jersey that I tried to wear everyday. And then there were the posters. And the Suns’ bedding. Yikes.

The best song to get you pumped up before the big game is?
A lot of good ones out there but topping the list no question is Eye of The Tiger. I blame my obsession with the song on the countless days spent in the Sehome High School weight room where I swear that song is ALWAYS playing.

If you could go anywhere in the world where would you go?
The Ponte Vecchio in Florence, Italy. Most beautiful place I’ve ever been…and it just so happens they serve the best gelato in the world there!

Best concert you’ve ever been to?
Oh they’ve all been good. Probably Toby Keith or Rush, both were pretty rockin’.

TV show you absolutely never miss?
I’ve really cut down on my TV watching lately. Still catch Grey’s Anatomy every week. And my total guilty pleasure is Dancing with the Stars…I just can’t turn it off! I love it.

What is your idea of a great night?
Can’t go wrong with live sports of any kind or live music! But I also love to stay in and play board games, watch movies and scrapbook.

Your biggest fear?
Falling into a rut and losing that spark to go after what I want. That and anything that flies around erratically…particularly moths and bees.
