Heavy Rain, Possible Flooding Hit Puget Sound Area

WASHINGTON  (Metro)  -- Heavy rain is hitting the Puget Sound area this morning, and forecasters are now predicting low-lying flooding in some areas.

"The News Tribune" says there's a flood watch on the Puyallup River near Orting.

There's no guess on how many inches of rain the area will get before things ease off later this morning.

There are reports of standing water on freeways throughout the region.
