Emergency Shelters Open



The Interfaith Coalition is opening severe weather shelters for the homeless in Bellingham.

The shelters will be open from 5 p.m. until 8 a.m. tonight, tomorrow and Saturday.

The men’s shelter is at Faith Lutheran Church at McLeod and Northwest.

The shelter for women and children is at Garden Street Methodist Church downtown.

Rides to the shelters will be available at the Rainbow Center and Church on the Street on Holly Street from 5 to 8 p.m.
