Blaine Man Accused Of Having Sex With Teen girl

BLAINE, Wash. (Metro)  -- A 20-year-old Blaine man is facing charges of third-degree child rape and providing drugs to a minor.

Thenorthernlight.com reports Whatcom County Sheriff's deputies arrested Kyler Mackowiak Tuesday after learning of an alleged sexual relationship with a 14-year-old girl in which he is accused of giving her heroin.

Deputies and Border Patrol agents found Mackowiak hiding in a shed near his home on F Street in Blaine and booked him into the Whatcom County jail.

Whatcom County Superior Court documents indicate that Mackowiak has been arrested several times since 2009, for alleged crimes including theft and assault.

Mackowiak's most recent arrest was in August of last year.

He later pleaded guilty to one count of unlawful possession of a controlled substance.
