Bank Robber Hospitalized In Critical Condition



STANWOOD, Wash.  (Metro)  -- A suspected bank robber is in critical condition at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle after he was shot by a deputy in Stanwood. 

The man was shot yesterday morning in a Haggen grocery store parking lot. 

The deputy who pulled the trigger on the man is a 14-year law enforcement veteran. 

The deputy was working a special patrol following a rash of bank robberies in the Stanwood area. 

He's on administrative leave during an investigation of the incident.
