After Late-Start Tax Season Fires Up

After a late start due to the last-minute fiscal cliff agreement, the IRS is now accepting and processing most individual tax returns.

IRS spokesperson David Tucker says people can find updated tax forms and options for filing their taxes for free through www.irs.gov.

He says more and more people are filing their taxes online.

Tucker says if you are getting a tax refund, the fastest way to get your money is to have it directly deposited into your bank account.

People who made $51,000 or less in 2012 can qualify for free tax preparation help through the IRS website.

Despite the late start to the tax season, the filing deadline is still April 15th.
