'Grey's Anatomy' Star Wins Bid To Buy Tully's



SEATTLE, Wash.  (Metro)  -- Patrick Dempsey, who stars in a TV medical drama set in a fictional Seattle hospital, says his investment group has won a bid to purchase Seattle based coffee chain Tully's. 

The winning bid was $9.15 million for the entire chain, which employs about 500 people. 

Dempsey, in sending a message about his victory via Twitter, Dempsey said he won the bidding war over the "Green Monster," referring to Starbucks. 

A bankruptcy court judge will decide later this month whether to approve the acquisition.
